ITF Taekwon-do Australia President Master Daher organised a World Champions clinic for some of our NA members preparing for the ITF World Cup 2016 Budapest, Hungary.
The clinic was conducted by Master Dahers friends multiple times former World Champions of Karate, Boxing, Taekwon-do & kick boxing. Mr Adam and Mr Nelson spoke and gave an introduction training session on what it takes to become the best in the World.
The team was pushed to a new limit to experience and discover themselves on the level of a fighter pushing the limits when the body wants to stop and drawing on additional energies from the fighters mindset to push through and finish the job. The lesson today reiterates the importance of the mind before the body and what head coach Master El-Sheik referenced as the Black Belt Mindset during the squad training recently on the Gold Coast.
Master Daher has organised these clinics with Mr Adam, Mr Nelson and Boxing Works Sydney to be ongoing in the lead up to the up coming major international competitions.
We would like to thank Boxing Works Sydney (Kings Cross Gym) for hosting the team and offering their assistance and expertise training in our teams preparations leading up to the World Cup
Reserve the date for a great championships in Sydney. Stay tuned for more information soon.
Master Daher Technical seminar 3 weeks and counting down if you haven’t registered yet better hurry up before you miss out.
A Black Belts only seminar with many senior members of ITF Taekwon-do Australia in attendance.
This is one seminar you don’t want to miss.
On the Weekend of June 11-12 saw a gathering of the National Squad members on the Gold Coast for training under the National Coach Master El-Sheikh. Training consisted of a warm using functional whole body drills with spider man walks, push ups, sit ups , squats, bull rush, shadow sparring with an emphasis on agile smooth foot work, Patterns & combinations based on preparing the mind before the body and the pathway to becoming a world champion. Majority of the training session was focused on the mind rather than the physical and the lead up long before the competition.
Master Daher made an appearance and spoke to all the squad members giving them some advice on their training and wishing them well for the following days Fight Series 2 Championships. Our condolences to Master Daher who lost his brother the day he flew up to the Gold Coast but such is his dedication to the art that he remained for the event before returning to Sydney.
The following day was Fight Series 2 competition held at Runaway Bay Super Sports Centre. Although competitor numbers were lower than usual we had a majority of Black belts being a selectiontournament for ITF Taekwon-do Australia and also being a prepatory tournament for Untited ITF Australia members competing next month in their World Championships in England. The quality of the competition was high amongst the seniors and the day ran very smoothly. . We would like to thank all United ITF Australia instructors and members who supported the event also all Allied Members and independent organisations who were there. We wish our members travelling to New Zealand for the Oceania Championships luck and all United ITF Australia members luck in England. We know you will make Australia proud. Thank you to Mr John Abdallah for organising the event and a special thank you to all the officials and volunteers on the day who without them none of this would be possible.
We look forward to seeing you all at the National Championships at the end of the year.
