Our National association leading Australia and Asia in 2019

International United Taekwon-Do Association (AA) supported by Grand Master Michael Daher ITF Vice President set their sights on hosting a B Class umpire course in conjunction with the 144 IIC in China. The newly approved Association planned to give its members the full opportunity of learning all aspects of our ITF systems. Technical IIC training with Grand Masters & Technical Umpiring to assist in providing an increased performance of umpires in the Asian region.

The Members of this association supported this event with enthusiasm and numbers, 67 umpires received umpire training certification. Many will applicable for B Class certification through our online system.

ITF Australia Senior Vice President and umpiring director Trevor McIntyre, agreed to run this course for this association, many senior instructors were in attendance and increased their knowledge of our umpiring procedures to a world class level.

The course was translated into Chinese language with the help of MR Liu Xin from the Association Mr Yu Xue Min is the umpiring director for this association, we thank him for his efforts and expertise.

The course was also translated through 2 helpful verbal translators Mrs Amanda Zhao Pei Yun from China and Mr C K Sun from Malaysia.

Throughout the course, the participants showed a keen interest in improving their professionalism, a skill required to umpire on a world-class level, included in this B Class training was specific training drills to practice all that is required to be a top-class umpire.

The participants learn many aspects of our umpiring system and have committed to the future improvement of umpires in China.

Future planning should include umpire training B class for all developing countries with the plan that these umpires will one day seek further umpire training level A Class and an IUC when available.
